The American Military Partner Association (AMPA) is thrilled to announce that celebrated theater, film and television actress Toni Trucks will be joining us a special guest at the 6th Annual AMPA National Gala, presented by Comcast NBCUniversal and USAA, on Saturday, May 11, in Washington, DC.
Joined by the evening’s featured speaker — the 75th U.S. Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus, Toni will gather with hundreds of LGBTQ service members, military spouses, veterans and allies for the big event in our nation’s capital, celebrating and honoring modern military families for their service and sacrifice.
“We’re thrilled that Toni Trucks will be joining us for this important evening celebrating and honoring our nation’s modern military families,” said AMPA President Ashley Broadway-Mack. “Now more than ever, it’s crucial that allies of the LGBTQ military community make clear they stand on the right side of history in support of fairness and equality.”
Toni Trucks currently stars on the CBS hit series SEAL Team. Raised in Michigan, Trucks comes from a strong and varied acting background, with roots in the theatre. Toni spent her early career in New York before making her television debut as the female lead on the Showtime series Barbershop. Since then, Trucks has continued to build great success in television. Appearing as a series regular in shows such as Franklin and Bash and Made In Jersey, as well as recurring roles on Corporate, NCIS: New Orleans, Grimm, Hostages, and Do No Harm in addition to countless guest starring roles. Some of Toni’s film credits include Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 2, Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day and Ruby Sparks. Toni is a graduate of the University of Michigan’s Musical Theatre Program and currently resides in Los Angeles.
